DHAKA, May 28, 2025 (BSS) – British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke today held a meeting with Nahid Islam and Dr Tasnim Jara of the National Citizen Party (NCP) as part of the UK’s ongoing engagement with political stakeholders in the country.

The meeting centred around the UK’s continued support to Bangladesh and pathway towards a democratic, inclusive, and prosperous future, said the British high commission here. 

The meeting comes in line with the British High Commission’s wider initiative to engage with representatives of various political parties and civic groups in Bangladesh, it added. 

The UK has consistently expressed its commitment to working with Bangladesh in promoting shared democratic values, fostering good governance, and supporting socio-economic development.
