Police held 1,567 in special drives across country

DHAKA, June 13, 2025 (BSS) - A total of 1,567 offenders and warrant accused have been arrested in the capital and across the country in the last 24 hours in the ongoing special police operations.

Among the arrestees, 1,123 were wanted in previous cases and warrants while 444 others have been arrested for other criminal charges, Police Headquarter AIG (Media and PR) Enamul Haque Sagar revealed this information today.

He said that in the last 24 hours, the police have simultaneously conducted operations across the country and arrested the accused and offenders.

"Three different types of arms were recovered from their possession. The recovered arms were one revolver, one local gun (LG) and a one shooter gun. The police also recovered 13 rounds of bullet and other criminal accessories," the police headquarters official added.
