DHAKA, June 18, 2025 (BSS) - The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 today showed Rear Admiral (Retd) Mohammad Sohail, former Legal and Media Wing Director of the elite force RAB, arrested in a case lodged over abduction, torture and enforced disappearance.

The three-member, ICT-1 led by Justice Md Golam Mortuza Mozumder, passed the order and sent Sohail back to jail. The court also set September 15 for submitting probe report in the case.

The first tribunal on April 15 had ordered to produce Sohail before it.

Chief Prosecutor Muhammad Tajul Islam moved the case before the tribunal, while Barrister Jyotirmoy Barua stood for the accused.

Mohammad Sohail, who previously served as chairman of both the Chattogram Port Authority (CPA) and Payra Port Authority, was reportedly sent into forced retirement following the change in government.

He was later arrested for his alleged role in multiple incidents of enforced disappearance.
