Dr Zubaida's birthday celebrated in Bogura thru various programs

BOGURA, June 18, 2025 (BSS)- The 53rd birth anniversary of Dr. Zubaida 
Rahman, wife of Bangladesh Nationalist Party's (BNP's) Acting Chairman 
Tarique Rahman, was celebrated here today through various programmes and much 
enthusiasm.

To mark the day, Zia family members and BNP's affiliated bodies arranged 
various programmes including a tree plantation at the premises of Baitur 
Rahman Central Mosque of the district this morning.
 
BNP Chairperson's Advisor Helaluzzaman Talukder Lalu, District BNP President 
Rezaul Karim Badsha, Juba Dal President Jahangir Alam, its General Secretary 
Abu Hasan, Swechchasebak Dal President Sarkar Mukul, its General Secretary 
Rakibul Islam Shuvo, Chhatra Dal President Habibur Rashid Sandhan, its 
General Secretary M R Hasan Palash, Mohila Dal leader Nazma Akter and other 
leaders of the party Saiful Islam, Zoynal Abedin Chan, Hamidul Haque 
Chowdhury Hiro, Tahauddin Nahian and Aminul Haque Dewan Sajal were present, 
among others, on the occasion. 

Later, a helpful booklet on the prevention of heart disease authored by Dr. 
Zubaida Rahman, also a renowned physician and cardiologist, was distributed 
at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital.

In addition, a special prayer (doa mahfil) was held there, along with food 
distribution among the patients and medical service providers of the 
hospital. 

Various social programmes, including tree plantation on the college premises 
and the popular Park Chattar established by BNP's acting chairman Tarique 
Rahman in Bogura, also took place marking the day.
 
A team of doctors led by cardiologist Dr. A N M Monwarul Kader Bitu 
participated in providing medical services to the poor people of the 
district.
