BNP chairperson's adviser Dr Farhad hospitalized

DHAKA, June 18, 2025 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson's Adviser and former convener of BNP Dhaka City North unit, Professor Dr Farhad Halim Donar, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of United Hospital here today.

Earlier, he had been admitted to Uttara Modern Medical Hospital. Later, he was shifted to United Hospital in the city's Gulshan area.

Doctors said he was admitted to the ICU with hypovolemic shock. He is also suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease.

He fell ill on June 13 while returning to the country from Canada.

Dr Farhad is also the Chief Adviser of the Doctors Association of Bangladesh (DAB) and Executive Director of the Ziaur Rahman Foundation.
