DHAKA, June 19, 2025 (BSS) - Ziaur Rahman Foundation (ZRF) has assisted undergoing surgery on a garment worker who sustained bullet injury during the student-people uprising in July-August last year.

Garment worker Mahmud Hossain was shot in front of Ashulia police station area during the uprising on August 5, 2024. 

Later, he contacted the rehabilitation committee of the ZRF. 

His surgery was successfully completed yesterday under the supervision of ZRF Executive Director Dr Farhad Halim Doner and with assistance of its rehabilitation committee convener and orthopedic surgeon Dr Shah Muhammad Amanullah.

Former assistant health affairs secretary of the central Chhatra Dal Dr MR Hasan was present during the operation, BNP media cell said in a Facebook post.
