CHATTOGRAM, june 19, 2025 (BSS)- Former Member of Parliament from Chattogram-
6 constituency (Raozan) ABM Fazle Karim Chowdhury has been shown arrested in 
two cases including three murder cases in the city. 

The court of Senior Metropolitan Magistrate S M Alauddin granted the petition 
for his arrest based on separate police applications on Thursday. 
 
He was not physically brought to the court during the hearing but was 
virtually connected through a newly added LED screen in the court.
 
Chattogram Court Police Inspector Shahinur Alam informed journalists that 
investigating officers requested the arrest of former lawmaker Fazle Karim in 
two cases filed by Kotwali and Sadarghat Police Stations related to an attack 
during an anti-discrimination movement on August 4 last year.
 
Fazle Karim Chowdhury lost his parliamentary position when the President 
dissolved Parliament after the student-people mass uprising on August 5. He 
had been hiding since then. 
 
On September 12 last, he was arrested while trying to flee to India illegally 
through the Akhaura Border in Brahmanbaria district.
