DHAKA, June 19, 2025 (BSS) - The certificate award ceremony of No 65 Flying Instructors' Course of Bangladesh Air Force was held at Flying Instructors' School (FIS), Arulia Airfield, Bogura today. 

Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan attended the ceremony as the chief guest and handed over certificates among the 16 course participants of Flying Instructors' Course, said an ISPR release here.

In his speech, the chief guest mentioned that now the student officers are the part of glorious team of flying instructors who will train the ab-initio pilots to defend the sky of Bangladesh. 

It is mentionable that, 15 officers from Bangladesh Air Force and one officer from Bangladesh Navy received the certificates on successful completion of the course. 

Squadron Leader AKM Sawkat Ullah Sameo, GD (P) of No 65 Flying Instructors' Course was adjudged the best all-round student-officer and was awarded with the prestigious 'Mofiz Trophy'. 

Officer Commanding of Flying Instructor's school (FIS) Group Captain Muhammad Saiful Islam, gave a brief resume on the course conducted by the school.

Assistant Chief of Air Staff (Operations) Air Vice Marshal Javed Tanveer Khan, Air Officer Commanding of BAF Base Birsreshto Matiur Rahman Air Vice Marshal Syed Sayeedur Rahman, among others, were present at the function.
