Tarique Rahman stands by octogenarian BNP activist Abu Taher Thakur

DHAKA, June 20, 2025 (BSS) - BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has stood by 
octogenarian party worker Abu Taher Thakur of Chatmohor upazila of northern 
Pabna district.

At his directive, a delegation of Amra BNP Paribar led by its chief adviser 
and party's senior joint secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed 
met with Abu Taher Thakur, 80, at his village home at Afrat Para of Chatmohar 
this afternoon.

Rizvi conveyed the message of sympathy of Tarique Rahman to Thakur, who 
worked in a blacksmith shop with his son Rabiul Karim Golam.

Meantime, Trinamool BNP inquired about the health of this dedicated worker 
and his family. In addition, the BNP leader handed over Tarique Rahman’s gift 
items to ailing Abu Taher Thakur.
