Tree plantation programme ongoing on Zubaida Rahman's birthday

DHAKA, June 21, 2025 (BSS) - In celebration of the birth anniversary of renowned physician and cardiologist Dr. Zubaida Rahman, tree plantation programs have continued across the country under the initiative of 'Amra BNP Paribar'. 

Dr. Zubaida Rahman is wife of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)'s Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.

As part of the birthday celebration, BNP and its affiliated organizations organized tree plantation in various districts and upazilas.
In Narayanganj, a plantation program was held under the banner of Amra BNP Paribar, led by Narayanganj Metropolitan BNP.

Similarly, Rangpur Divisional Assistant-Organizing Secretary Professor Aminul Islam led tree plantation at Katamore in Gobindaganj, Gaibandha.

In Bogura, a large-scale plantation drive took place under the supervision of former Assistant-Organizing Secretary of Bogura District Chhatra Dal, Hadiul Haque (Zico). 

Trees were planted at multiple key locations in Shibganj, including the Model Mosque, Upazila Mosque, Upazila Auditorium grounds, Shibganj Barwari Central Temple, nearby educational institutions and roadsides.

In Narsingdi, a prayer mahfil and tree plantation was held. The program was attended by BNP Joint Secretary General Khairul Kabir Khokon, Narsingdi District BNP General Secretary Manjur Elahi and BNP Central Committee Science and Technology Affairs Co-Secretary Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul.

At Rajshahi Medical College, Chhatra Dal activists planted trees on campus sidewalks and within residential hostels.
