DHAKA, June 22, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today imposed travel ban on three children of former land minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury over graft allegations.

The three people, who have been barred by the court from leaving the country, are Tanayem Zaman Chowdhury, Sadakat Zaman Chowdhury and Zeba Zaman Chowdhury.

Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order, allowing a plea of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).

The commission in its plea said a joint taskforce of ACC, CID and NBR has been formed to probe allegations against Saifuzzaman Chowdhury, people and companies related to his interest.

"The accused may try to flee the country and for the sake of proper investigation, travel ban should be imposed on them," it added.
