Zahid cautions BNP workers against ousted autocracy’s trap

MOLVIBAZAR, June 22, 2025 (BSS) - BNP standing committee member professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain today asked party leaders and activists at grassroots keep them safe from possible entrapment by accomplices to ousted autocracy.

“They (accomplices) live in our neighborhoods. . . in cities and villages,” he told a party council of BNP’s Sadar Upazila unit here as the chief guest.

Zahid said these elements possessed huge amount of money which could be used to mislead BNP activists or spread slanderous campaigns as part of designs for their own benefit and survival.

“But we must not be entrapped in any such tricks,” he told the event, addressed by Sylhet division BNP organising secretary Alhaj GK Gous as the main speaker
The upazila BNP council was followed voting after 19 years in a joyous mood.

Former lawmaker M Naser Rahman spoke at the council chaired by Sadar Upazila BNP convener Badrul Alam while it was also addressed by district BNP convener Faizul Karim Mayun and member secretary Abdur Rahim Ripon.
