JPB submits application for party registration

DHAKA, June 22, 2025 (BSS) - A delegation of Janata Party Bangladesh (JPB) today submitted an application to the Election Commission (EC), seeking its registration as a political party.

Executive Chairman and former MP Golam Sarwar Milon, JPB Secretary General Shawkat Mahmud, Party Advisor Shah Mohammad Abu Zafar, Vice Chairman Senior Advocate Waliur Rahman Khan, Vice Chairman Major (Retd) Imran, Senior Joint Secretary General Md Asaduzzaman, Joint Secretary General Advocate Rafiqul Islam Raja, Office Secretary Mridha Md Al-Amin, Dhaka North Metropolitan Convenor Dr Md Masuduzzaman, Member Secretary Shah Md. Solaiman, Joint Convenors Imran Hossain and Md. Ershad Hossain, and Member Leon Nadim were present as part of the delegation, among others. 

After submitting the petition, Golam Sarwar Milon, expressing hopes of getting the registration and participating in the upcoming national election, at a press briefing said, "Our party upholds the spirit of the Liberation War of 1971 and the Mass Uprising of 2024. Inshallah, we will get the registration and take part in the election."
