DHAKA, June 23, 2025 (BSS) - Water levels at 65 river stations monitored by 
Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC) have marked rise while 46 
stations recorded fall.

Among the 119 monitored river stations, water levels at eight stations have 
remained steady while no stations flowing above the danger level, a bulletin 
issued by the FFWC said here today.

 The water levels of all major rivers are flowing below the danger level, 
read the bulletin.

The water levels of the Teesta and Dharla rivers are decreasing, while the 
water level of the Dudhkumar River is rising. Over the next 2 days, the water 
levels of these rivers may rise, while the third day the water level may 
remain steady and the Teesta River may flow close to the danger level (within 
the denger level) within the next 48 hours. Moderately-heavy to heavy 
rainfall is likely in this basin over the next 3 days, it added. 

The water levels of the Brahmaputra-Jamuna rivers remain steady. The water 
levels may continue to rise over the next 5 days; however, they are expected 
to flow below the danger level.

The water level of the Surma River is rising, while the water level of the 
Kushiyara River is falling. The water level of the Surma River may decrease 
over the next one day and remain stable for the following two days. On the 
other hand, the water level of the Kushiyara River may continue to fall over 
the next three days and is expected to flow below the danger level.

The water level of the Ganges-Padma Rivers are rising. The water levels of 
both rivers may continue to rise over the next 05 days; however, they are 
expected to flow below the danger level.
