DHAKA, July 1, 2025 (BSS) – Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) today launched full-fledged urban health care services aiming at making primary health care service for the city dwellers more available, equal and standard.
DNCC has been operating Nagar Matrisadan, primary health care services and satellite centers through Urban Primary Health Care Services Delivery Project (2nd phase) since 1998 under the local government division.
The project ensured various types of health care services for the city dwellers through six Nagar Matrisadan in 21 wards, 30 primary health care centers and 60 satellite centers.
As the tenure of the project ended on June 30, so the health care service porgramme directly will be operated and supervised by the DNCC from July 1.
It is expected that the health care services under the DNCC would be more sustainable, transparent and available for the city inhabitants.
The DNCC think that the healthcare services is a fundamental right of the citizens, so, there would be no shortage of the newly launched health care services as per the instructions of the local government ministry and aided by the participants.
The initiative will introduce an important change in urban health care system where the city dwellers specially the poor and marginal people will get the quality health service at their reach.
