Murder case filed against ex-railway minister Mujibul

CUMILLA, July 1, 2025 (BSS) - A murder case has been filed against ex Railway Minister Mujibul Haque in connection with the killing of Jamsedur Rahman, a college student and activist in the quota reform movement, in Chauddagram, Cumilla.

The case naming Mujibul Haque as the prime accused was filed by the victim's uncle Md. Ayub Miyaji with Chauddagram Police Station on June 30. 

A total of 43 named individuals and approximately 80 unidentified persons have been accused in the case.

Chauddagram Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Hilal Uddin Ahmed confirmed the filing of the case on Tuesday afternoon.
