DHAKA, July 2, 2025 (BSS) – The price of a 12-kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder has been reduced by Tk 39, bringing the new retail price down to Tk 1,364 for the month of July, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced on Wednesday.

The revised price, down from Tk 1,403 in June, will come into effect from 6:00 pm today.

In line with the new pricing, the cost of other LPG cylinder sizes—ranging from 5.5 kg to 45 kg—will also be adjusted downward, BERC confirmed.

Meanwhile, the price of auto gas, the LPG variant used in motor vehicles, has also been revised. 

The new rate has been fixed at Tk 62.46 per litre, down from Tk 64.30 per litre, inclusive of VAT.

The monthly price adjustment is based on fluctuations in the international market, BERC added.
