TANGAIL, July 3, 2025 (BSS) - As per the direction of BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman, Publicity Secretary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Sultan Salauddin Tuku has called on all leaders and activists who took part in the anti-fascist movement to remain united in the ongoing struggle for democracy.

"BNP acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has called on all those who led the anti-fascist movement to remain united," he said.

Tuku came up with the call at the inauguration of a voluntary blood donation campaign held at Tangail Medical College here today.

As part of the BNP's nationwide initiative to observe the first anniversary of the July-August mass uprising, Doctors Association Of Bangladesh (DAB) Tangail unit organised the event.

Speaking as the chief guest, he also emphasized BNP's long-standing demand for a fair electoral process.

"BNP has been agitating for fair elections since the beginning," the Central Committee leader stated. "Whoever wins the elections should run the state- that is the expectation of the people."

The programme was attended, among others, by President of BNP's district unit Hasanuzzamir Shaheen, its Secretary General Advocate Farad Iqbal and President of DAB Tangail unit Dr Abdul Matin.
