DHAKA, July 5, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan today said many important issues still remain outside the discussion of reforms.

“Although the National Consensus Commission has discussed various reforms, many important issues remain outside the discussion. The desired change has not yet come,” he told a seminar at Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) here.

Nagorik Oikya organized the seminar titled “How much protection does the Cyber ??Security Ordinance provide?” with its president Mahmudur Rahman Manna in the chair. Leaders of several political parties also spoke at the event.

Nazrul said the people of Bangladesh have given their lives in the language movement, autonomy, mass uprising, the Great Liberation War of 1971, the student movement of 1990 and the July-August movement of 2024. 

“After giving so many lives, why is there still a discussion about inconsistency?” he said.
