Tarique Rahman inquires about treatment of July martyred Zahid's brother

DHAKA, July 6, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Acting Chairman and Chief Patron of 'Amra BNP Paribar' Tarique Rahman has inquired about the treatment of July martyred Abdullah bin Zahid's younger brother Zisan who is infected with cancer. 

He recently spoke virtually with Zahid's mother and inquired about her younger son Zisan, assuring of his support and expressing his solidarity.

Zisan's mother joined the conversation with Tarique Rahman from BNP chairperson's political office in capital's Gulshan. 

During the talk, Tarique Rahman wanted to know the current health ground of cancer-infected Zisan, younger brother of July martyred Abdullah bin Zahid and reaffirmed the party's commitment to supporting families of those who sacrificed their lives for democratic causes, according to Facebook page of BNP media cell.

"BNP will always stand by your side," Tarique Rahman said. 

"As fellow human beings, we stand with you to the best of our ability. The rest is in Almighty Allah's hands. We have done what we could from our position and we will continue to stand by you in the future," he said.

He further said that BNP's support is not limited to Jisan's case alone, but extends to all families of martyrs who have contributed to the party's struggle for justice and democracy.

Shaheed Abdullah bin Zahid was martyred on August 5 during 2024 mass movement. His younger brother Jisan was recently diagnosed with cancer.
