Three AL men held from a procession in Shyampur

DHAKA, 7 July 2025 (BSS) - Police arrested three Awami League (AL) men from the capital's Shyampur area. 

The arrestees have been identified as Md. Naimur Rahman,22, Harun,24, and Alamin Mollah,20.

Police arrested the trio from in front of Jurain Salah Uddin Petrol Pump under Shyampur Police Station around 5:45 am on Monday, said a police press release. 

A group of 25 to 30 people from the AL and its affiliated organizations brought out an anti-government procession from in front of Jurain Salah Uddin Petrol Pump, police said. 

Being informed, police rushed to the spot and arrested the trio from the place of occurrence. 

Efforts are on to capture remaining others, police said. 

Legal action was taken against them.
