Jahangir Kabir made Add'l IG Prisons

DHAKA, July 7, 2025 (BSS) - Deputy Inspector General of Prisons (DIG Prisons) of Dhaka Division Md. Jahangir Kabir has been promoted as Additional Inspector General (Add'l IG) of Prisons at the Headquarters, Department of Prisons.

The Home Ministry today issued a notification in this connection.

Kabir was appointed as DIG Prisons of Dhaka Division on August 18, 2024. Earlier, he also served as DIG Prisons in Mymensingh and Barishal divisions.

Kabir has started his career as jail superintendent in Munshiganj District Jail in 2008.
