Ex-CEC Shamsul Huda laid to rest at Banani graveyard

DHAKA, Jul 7, 2025 (BSS) - Former Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) ATM Shamsul Huda was laid to eternal rest at the Banani graveyard in the capital this evening.

Earlier, his Namaz-e-Janaza was held at Gulshan Lake Park, followed by another after Maghrib prayers at Gulshan Society Jame Mosque.

Finance Adviser Salehuddin Ahmed and Shipping Adviser Brig. Gen. (retd) Dr M Sakhawat Hussain attended the Janaza.

Shamsul Huda passed away on Saturday at his residence here. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.
