Dr Shafiq calls for making July 19 rally a grand success

DHAKA, July 8, 2025(BSS) - Ameer of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dr. Shafiqur Rahman today urged all including leaders and activists of different ranks and files of the party to make the ‘national rally of July 19’ a grand success.

“The mass upsurge of 2024 earned through the enormous sacrifices of the student and people is an important event in the national life,” he said while presiding over a meeting at his party’s central office for making the ‘national rally’ a success at the historic Suhrawardi Uddyan on July 19. 

The Ameer of Jamaat said Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has arranged the rally for implementing the expectations of martyred of July-August uprising, showing respect to the martyred and bringing back the trend of true democratic process in the country. 

Reviewing different aspects of preparations of the rally, he said the success of the students-mass uprising would be ensured by realizing the 7-point demands given by Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami.

Among others, Nayeb-e-Ameer of Jamaat and former member of parliament (MP) Dr Syed Abdullah Md Taher, Secretary General and former MP Prof Miah Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary Generals-Moulana Abdul Halim and Moulana Ehsan Mahbub Jubair, central executive members Saiful Alam Khan Milon, Principal Md Ijjat Ullah and Mobarak Hussain, Ameers of Dhaka City South and North Nurul Islam Bulbul and Md Selim Uddin and General Secretaries of both the units Dr Shafiqul Islam Masud and Dr Rezaul Karim were present at the meeting.
