Two companies provide Tk 3.24 cr annual dividends to Labour Welfare Foundation

DHAKA, July 8, 2025 (BSS) - Two companies today handed over cheques for Taka 324,24,652 to the Bangladesh Labour Welfare Foundation Fund at the rate of 0.5 percent of their annual dividend as per the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 (amended 2018).
 
Out of which, Tk 2,24,24,652 was donated by Lafarge Holcim Bangladesh Ltd. and Tk 1 crore by GPS Ispat Limited, said an official handout.

A delegation of two companies handed over the cheques as donation to Labour and Employment Adviser Brigadier General (R.) Dr. M Sakhawat Hussain.

Senior officials of the ministry and foundation were present at the time.
