DHAKA, July 9, 2025 (BSS) - The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Tuesday night arrested three drug traffickers along with a firearm and ammunition in the capital's Jatrabari area. 

The arrested have been identified as Md Shakil, 36, Md Rubel, 34, and Md Mokter Bhuiyan, 40, residents of Jurain Bou Bazar area under Kadamtali Police Station. 

A team of RAB-10 in a raid at an abandoned house in Jurain Bou Bazar area under Kadamtali Police Station around 10:05 pm on Tuesday, said a press release of the RAB. 

One foreign pistol, one magazine and two rounds of bullet were seized from their possessions, it also said. 

The trio was accused in multiple cases filed with different police stations as they have long been in extortion, drug trafficking and selling and buying of illegal firearms, it added.
