JAMALPUR, Sept 3, 2025 (BSS) - Adviser to BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and former Cabinet Secretary ASM Abdul Halim today said that people can now speak freely after a long time as the fascist Awami League government had long suppressed their voices.

He said Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman worked hard to bring smiles to the faces of the people and later Begum Khaleda Zia carried forward his unfinished work.

He said this while exchanging views with leaders and activists of Islampur Upazila BNP and its front and associate bodies on the occasion of the 47th founding anniversary of BNP at Islampur Government College.

Among others, BNP leaders Nabi Newaz Khan Lohani Bipul, Joynal Abedin Sarkar, Md Helal Uddin, Shafik Selim, Abdur Rouf Danu, Zakiul Islam Tibbat, and Kamrul Huda Pahlowan Stalin spoke at the meeting.

Earlier, a rally was brought out from the college premises that paraded through the main roads of the district town.
