Ansar-VDP always ready to serve nation: DG

DHAKA, Sept 3, 2025 (BSS) - Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (Ansar-VDP) Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud has said that over six million Ansar-VDP members are always ready to serve the nation with professionalism and discipline.

He made the remarks while addressing a 'Darbar' during his visit to the Cumilla Range today.

The DG urged members to be more active in national service and emphasized the importance of self-reliance, proper training, and small entrepreneurship to support socio-economic development.

Highlighting the newly adopted 'Sanjeevan Project', he described it as a "beacon of hope" for marginalized communities. He said the project was designed to boost rural livelihoods and reduce poverty.

He also praised the force's role in maintaining peace in both hilly and plain areas.

Cumilla Range Director Md. Mahbubur Rahman and other officials were present at the event.
