CHATTOGRAM, Sept 3, 2025 (BSS)- BNP Central Executive Committee Joint Organizing Secretary, Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin today emphatically said that BNP has consistently supported the people in all  national crisis. 
 
He made these remarks as the chief guest at a pre-rally gathering organized by Hathazari Upazila, municipality BNP and its affiliated bodies to mark the BNP's founding anniversary.

He also mentioned that on September 1, 1978, during a national crisis, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman restored democracy of the people of the country by founding BNP. 
 
“The autocratic government had deprived the people   of their rights. While advocating for the rights of the common people, BNP Chairperson and three-time Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia became a victim of the oppressive government's conspiracy. She was unjustly imprisoned on false charges without committing any crime.” Barrister Helal said 
 
 
He said despite everything, she refused to compromise with injustice. Even I wish acting chairman, Tarique Rahman and extend my best wishes for his sound health and long life.
“Meanwhile, the oppressive regime of the Awami League has crumbled in the face of the Mass Uprising in July. I want to express my respect and gratitude to the brave warriors of July Uprising ,” he added.
 
Hathazari Municipality BNP convener Zaker Hossain, presided over the function while BNP leaders Nur Mohammad, Mohammad Selim Chairman, Dr. Rafiqul Alam, Ayub Khan and Abdus Shukkur among others addressed the event .
 
After the meeting, Barrister Helal led a huge procession that paraded Bus Station, , College Road, Court Road and Bazar Ghata Police Station Road.
