DHAKA, Sept 4, 2025 (BSS) - Detective Branch (DB) of Police has arrested a drug dealer with 10,000 pieces of contraband yaba tablets from the city's Nayapaltan area. 

The arrested is Md Jasim Uddin alias Jasim, 45, according to a press release issued by Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) media and public relation division here today.

A team of the DB-Motijheel division conducted a raid in the Nayapaltan area and nabbed him along with yaba tablets around 8:30 pm on Wednesday, the release said, adding that the team also seized a motorcycle, which was used for transporting drugs during the raid, from his possession.

Legal procedure is underway against them, it said.
