Tarique Rahman gifts house to destitute woman in Netrokona

NETROKONA, Sept 5, 2025 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has gifted a house to a destitute and homeless woman in the district as a humanitarian initiative to provide her secure place to live.
The woman, Shukkuri Begum, 70, is a resident of Shibganj village in Durgapur Upazila.

BNP’s media cell shared the information on its Facebook page today.

According to the media cell, Shukkuri Begum had no shelter for herself and her young grandson after losing her husband and son. 

The house was handed over under the overall supervision of Barrister Kayser Kamal, secretary general of the Jatiyatabadi Lawyers’ Forum and BNP law affairs secretary.
