DHAKA, Sept 5, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested 34 crime suspects in special operations in the capital's Mohammadpur and Adabor thana areas.

Of them, 29 were arrested from different places under Mohammadpur Thana on Thursday.

 The arrested are: Nur Alam (25), Hasan (23), Jumman (20), Jumman (29), Ali Hossain (36), Ibrahim (22), Musa (25), Shuvo (20), Nahim (23), Jibon (22), Ashiq (24), Naeem (20), Rezwan (26), Faraz Hossain Pappu (36), Rakib (23), Tutul (19), Mahabub (28), Faisal (35), Sohel (30), Hanif (42), Ismail (23), Raja (30), Arman (30), Amirul (26), Hira (26), Saeed (30), Sabbir (40), Kamran (28) and Ripon (40). 

At this time, 36 grams of heroin and 240 grams of marijuana were recovered from their possessions. 

On the other hand, according to Adabor Police station sources, five people involved in various crimes were also arrested by conducting raids in different areas on Thursday.

The arrestees are Md. Saiful Islam alias Saidul (35), Md. Niloy Ahmed (19), Md. Saidul Islam alias Swapan (30), Md. Rubel (30) and Md. Alauddin (20). 

At that time, three iron knives were recovered from their possessions.

The arrestees include drug dealers, accused in pending cases and outstanding warrants.
