BNP health secretary visits injured journo Nahid Nazrul

DHAKA, Sept 6, 2025 (BSS) – BNP Health Affairs Secretary Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam today visited     journalist and columnist Nahid Nazrul, who was seriously injured in a recent road accident.

During the visit, Dr. Rafiqul Islam checked the injured journalist, spoke to the attending doctors, and inquired in detail about the progress of Nahid Nazrul's treatment.

He requested the medical team to ensure the best possible medical care for Nahid Nazrul.

Dr. Rafiqul Islam also met the family members of the injured journalist and assured them of the party’s support. “All necessary assistance will be provided to ensure his proper treatment,” he said.

Speaking about Nahid Nazrul's condition, he added, “The tibia and fibula bones in his lower right leg have been broken, and his ankle has been severely damaged. However, his overall physical condition is now stable.”

It is worth noting that Nahid Nazrul has long been active as a popular columnist and lyricist, in addition to his devotion toward journalism and literature.
