Pickup driver killed in Demra road accident

DHAKA, Sept 8, 2025 (BSS) - A pickup van driver was killed today as his vehicle collided head-on at Mirpara under Demra Police Station. 
 
The deceased was identified as Mohammad Sabbir Ahmed, 26, a pickup van driver, son of Mohammad Alauddin, hailed from Bhikra village under Nachol Police Station, Chapainawabganj. He currently lives in the Atik Market area of Demra.

The accident occurred around 11 am today, when a pick van collided head on with a passenger bus of Asim Paribahan at Mirpara under Demra Police Station, police and local sources said. 

Later, the driver was rescued and taken to the emergency department of Dhaka Medical College Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared him dead around 1 pm today.
