ACC’s 184th public hearing held in Sherpur

SHERPUR, Sept 08, 2025(BSS) - The 184th public hearing of Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) was held at the district Shilpakola Academy here today with the theme – “Will build the country together. Corruption free Bangladesh”.

The ACC’s Integrated District Office of Jamalpur organized the public hearing with the cooperation of Sherpur district administration.  

With Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Sherpur Tarafdar Mahmudur Rahman in the chair, ACC Commissioner (Investigation) Miah Muhammad Ali Akbar Azizi was present at the hearing as the chief guest while its Director General (Investigation) Md Akhter Hossain joined the event as special guest.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Adl-SP) of Sherpur Md Mizanur Rahman Bhuiyan and Director (Additional charge) of the ACC Mymensingh division Tajul Islam Bhuiyan were also present at the programme.  

During the hearing, the people allegedly deprived of getting services from government offices or victims of harassment filed lodged their allegations.

After hearing complain, the ACC bosses gave their instance decisions on the basis of the allegations in presence of the chiefs of all district level government offices. 

The public hearing was organized for ensuring government services and accountability at all government offices in the district.

Massive campaign including posturing, distribution of leaflets, setting up of complain booths and boxes were taken in Sherpur sadar during the last one week. As a result, huge enthusiasm was created among the common people of the district to this end.

Civil society members, general masses and journalists from the print and electronic media were also present on the occasion.
