ACC files case against Agrani Insurance director Lintu

KHULNA, Sept 8, 2025 (BSS) - Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against Kazi Sakhawat Hossain Lintu, owner of MCO International Pvt. Ltd, and director and ex-chairman of Agrani Insurance Company Ltd, for allegedly amassing illegal wealth worth Tk 4.01 crore.

The case was lodged today with the ACC’s Dhaka-1 Metropolitan Integrated District Office by Md. Rubel Hossain, Deputy Assistant Director of the ACC’s Khulna office.

According to the case, the ACC had launched an investigation against Lintu in 2012 through its Khulna office. 

After a long investigation, ACC officials found evidence of immovable and movable assets worth Tk 21.76 crore.

Against this, Lintu declared legitimate income sources of Tk 6.51 crore. Based on the calculation, his total assets should be Tk 17.74 crore. 

However, the investigation revealed inconsistencies, showing that he had unlawfully acquired and possessed assets worth Tk 4.01 crore.
