Fakhrul mourns death of former Secretary Miraj

DHAKA, Sept 12, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today expressed deep sorrow over the death of Kazi Miraj Hossain, a former secretary of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

Miraj Hossain passed away today at the age of 65 while undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the city, a press release said.

In the condolence message, Fakhrul paid rich tribute to the memory of the late Kazi Miraj Hossain, stating that he performed his duties as a ministry secretary with dedication, honesty, and sincerity, the release added.

Fakhrul also highlighted that Miraj Hossain worked with great skill and efficiency for an extended period at the BNP Chairperson's Office in Gulshan and with former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. The secretary general noted that Miraj was widely respected as an upright, skilled, and competent official.

Mirza Fakhrul prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul of Kazi Miraj Hossain and extended his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family members, well-wishers, and admirers.
