President accepts justice Akhtaruzzaman’s resignation

DHAKA, Sept 12, 2025 (BSS) - President Mohammed Shahabuddin has accepted the resignation letter of High Court Justice Md Akhtaruzzaman, who faced allegation of misconduct before the Supreme Judicial Council.

Justice Akhtaruzzaman submitted his resignation letter on August 31 last ahead of the council’s final decision on the charges.

The President accepted his resignation on September 7, according to updated Supreme Court website report.
