Nine more AL men held for taking part in flash processions

DHAKA, Sept 14, 2025 (BSS)- Detectives arrested nine more leaders and activists of the Awami League (AL) and its affiliated organizations from different parts of the capital city in the last 24 hours.
    
Police said they were arrested on charge of taking part in the flash procession of Awami League in different parts of the city over the last few days.

The arrested persons were identified as  Dhaka South City Corporation Ward 10 Sechchhasebak League President Mokchedur alias Mokchedur Rahman Molla Kishore (47),  Munshiganj District Srinagar Thana Awami Swechchhasebak League Former President Enamul Huda Lalu (60), Dhaka South City Awami Jubo League former member of Ward 9 and Motijheel Thana Awami Matsyajibi League Publicity Secretary Abdul Gaffar (56), Baharul Islam Titu (46), AL president of unit 5 of ward 24 of Lalbagh thana, Saiful Islam Lyon (24), an active worker of Mirpur thana Chhatra League, Naeem Noman (60), former secretary of information and research of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League and current secretary of forest and environment affairs, Humayun Kabir Rajan, organizing secretary of Jubo League of ward 66 of Demra police station (42), Mohiuddin Matbar (43), president of Charsamaiya Union Awami League of Sadar Upazila of Bhola district and chairman of Charsamaiya Union and  Sikder Sohel Hazari (30), former vice-president of Bhatara police station Chhatra League and vice-president of Tangail district unit of Sheikh Russell National Shishu Kishore Parishad.
 
Separate teams of DB arrested them from Tejgaon Industrial area,  Lalbagh, Eastern Plaza area of ??Kalabagan Police Station, Mirpur, Pallabi , Dogair area of ??Demra Police Station, Dhanmondi,  Senpara Parbat area under Kafrul Police Station, said a DB press release.

The detainees were involved in destabilizing the country by holding sudden processions in different parts of the capital, it said.
