7-day US PACAF, BAF joint-exercise 'Operation Pacific Angel 25-3' begins

CHITTAGRAM, Sept 14, 2025 (BSS) – A seven-day joint exercise of the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) and the United States Pacific Air Force (PACAF) styled “Operation Pacific Angel 25-3” began here today.
 
On this occasion, an inaugural ceremony was organized at the Bangladesh Air Force Base Zahurul Haque on Saturday (September 13), said a release of the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate this afternoon.
 
Air Commander at Air Force Base Zahurul Haque Air Vice-Marshal Haider Abdullah was present as the chief guest and officially inaugurated the exercise.
 
This event has started today under the overall directives of the Armed Forces Division and the overall management of Bangladesh Air Force.
 
The ISPR said the  'Operation Pacific Angel 25-3' will mainly focus on medivac (rescue operations) coordination, aircraft maintenance and aeronautical operations, parachute and litter rigging, rotary-wing hoist operations, maritime and flood response operations, combat rubber raiding craft (CRRC), jungle survival and accident scene management, humanitarian assistance and disaster prevention (HA/DR) exercises. 
 
A C-130J transport aircraft, an MI-17 helicopter and two C-130J transport aircrafts of the Pacific Air Force are participating in this exercise, it said  
 
A total of 150 BAF members and 92 PACAF members of the US will take part in the ‘Operation Pacific Angel 25-3’. 
 
Besides, members of the Bangladesh Army and Bangladesh Navy will also participate in the exercise, added the release. 
 
 
Concerned officers and members of Air Force Base Zahurul Haque and members of the US Pacific Air Force were present at the inaugural session, the ISPR added.
