Ex-MP's son landed in Khulna jail

KHULNA, SEPT 14, 2025 (BSS) - A Khulna court on Sunday sent Deepta Mondal, 
32, son of Noni Gopal Mondal, an ex-parliamentary member of Khulna -1 
constituency, in an anarchy case.

Earlier, Police arrested Deepta last night while he was returned Bangldesh 
through Bhomra land port in Satkhira, Sirazul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) 
of Dakop police station confirmed today.

OC said, Deepta was arrested by immigration police of Bhomra land port in 
Satkhira around 11 pm yesterday while he was returning his residence at Dakop 
upazila in Khulna.

Deepta was handed over to Dakop police station today, OC said, adding that he 
was accused in an anarchy case with the police station on November 26,2024. 
Later, he was produced before Khulna District and Session Judge Court.

Deepta had been at large since August 5, 2024, the OC added.
