First executive meeting of 38th DUCSU held

DHAKA, Sept 14, 2025 (BSS)- The first executive meeting of the 38th Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) was held today at the conference room adjacent to the Vice-Chancellor's office.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan presided over the meeting. 

Pro-Vice Chancellor and Acting Treasurer Professor Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, newly elected DUCSU Vice President (VP) Abu Shadik Kayem, General Secretary (GS) S M Farhad, Assistant General Secretary (AGS) Muhammad Mahiuddin Khan, along with all members of the executive committee attended the meeting.

In the meeting, DU VC congratulated all DUCSU leaders on their victory through a participatory process and urged them to work for the welfare of the students.

The meeting nominated five DUCSU executives as representatives in the University Senate under Section 20(1)(m) of the Dhaka University Order, 1973.

Nominated senate members are DUCSU VP Abu Shadik Kayem, GS S M Farhad, AGS Mahiuddin Khan, highest vote-receiver Sabikunnahar Tamanna, and Transport Affairs Secretary Asif Abdullah.

The meeting also discussed the appointment of DUCSU treasurer.
