DHAKA, Sept 14, 2025(BSS) - The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 today fixed September 28 for submitting formal complaint against former Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu, Awami League leader Mahbubul Haq Hanif and three others for allegedly killing seven people in Kushtia during last year’s mass uprising.

The two-member ICT-1 led by Justice Md Shafiul Alam Mahmud fixed the date after hearing the statement of prosecutor Gazi M H Tamim in this regard in presence of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) President Hasanul Haque Inu.

The same tribunal on August 21 instructed the prosecution to show him (Inu) arrested in connection with the complaint and sent to jail.

Seven people were killed and several others were injured in Kushtia during last year’s July-August mass uprising.

A total of five people including Inu and Hanif were accused for the killing. A complaint was registered with the ICT in this regard.

The Investigating agency of the ICT has already submitted probe report to the prosecution in this regard.
