Industrial owners' delegation meets Jamaat Ameer

DHAKA, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) - A delegation of industrial owners of the country has paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman.

The meeting was held at a temporary office in Bashundhara here on Sunday.

During the meeting, they discussed the prospects of Bangladesh's industrial trade, new investments and environment, as well as contemporary challenges, especially the Labour Act 2025. 

At the time, the owners of industries urged all political parties to maintain stability in all industrial areas in the country and provide overall cooperation.

In response, the Jamaat Ameer stressed improving labourer-owner relations to protect the country's industries and keep the economy smooth. 

Dr Shafiqur expressed gratitude to the industrial owners to inquire about his physical condition.

The delegation also included former adviser to the caretaker government and managing director of Square Group Tapan Chowdhury, BGMEA president Mahmud Hasan Khan, BKMEA president Mohammad Hatem, Bangladesh Employers Federation president Fazle Shamim Ehsan, BGMEA director Saifullah Mansur, BGMEA One Stop Service Cell chairman Mozammel Haque Bhuiyan, and Public Relations and Publicity Committee chairman Masud Kabir.

Jamaat's Industry and Commerce Wing president Shahidul Islam, its secretary general Dr Anwarul Azim and eminent physician Dr Khaliduzzaman were also present at the meeting.
