DMP files 1,592 cases for violating traffic rules

DHAKA, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) - The Traffic Division of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) filed a total of 1,592 cases in the capital for violating traffic rules.

According to a DMP press release issued today, the cases were filed and fines were realized during the last 24 hours through regular drives against traffic rule violators.

Besides, traffic police dumped 217 vehicles and towed 69 others during the campaign, the release added.

The release further said the drives will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets and to make movement easier for city dwellers.
