DHAKA, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) - BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has stood by cancer-stricken Hefazat-e-Islam leader and former Ameer of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh Allama Junaid Babunagri's personal assistant Maulana Enamul Hasan Farooqui.

A delegation led by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and Chief Adviser of 'Amra BNP Paribar' Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed met Maulana Farooqui at Jamia Madania Madrasa in Baridhara in the  capital today.

On behalf of Tarique Rahman, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi handed over cash to Maulana Farooqui as medical assistance and pledged to always stand by the scholar as in the past.

Convener of the organization, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, conveyed a message of sympathy to Maulana Enamul Hasan Farooqui on behalf of Tarique Rahman, the chief patron of Amra BNP Paribar.

Amra BNP Paribar advisors Engineer Ashraf Uddin Bakul, Abul Kashem, Engineer Mostafa-e-Zaman Selim, member secretary and agriculturist Moksedul Momin Mithun, journalist Zahidul Islam Rony, Amra BNP Paribar members Masud Rana Liton, Mustakim Billah, Shakil Ahmed, Farhad Ali Sajeeb, Rubel Amin and Shahadat Hossain were present on the occasion.

Atiqur Rahman Rumon told reporters that Zia family has a historical and sincere relationship with the religious people and scholars of Bangladesh. 

“Based on that principle, today we stand by Maulana Enamul Hasan Farooqui with humanitarian assistance. We have learned that ordinary people have also stood by Maulana Farooqui with love as much as they can,” he said.

Maulana Junayed Al Habib, Maulana Azizul Haque Islamabadi, Maulana Hedayetullah Qasemi, Mufti Jaber Qasemi, Maulana Sanaullah Mahmudi, Hafez Maulana Nur Mohammad, Mufti Zakir Hossain Qasemi, Maulana Saleh Ahmed Azam and Mufti Enayet Ullah of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh were present.

Zia family and the country's scholars and ulama were the most tortured during the fascist Hasina government. 

People from all classes and professions, including the Islamic parties, were subjected to inhuman torture in the movement against the Awami regime. 
An example of the cruelty of Awami torture is the young scholar Maulana Enamul Hasan Farooqui.
