DHAKA, Sept 15, 2025 (BSS) – Gano Odhikar Parishad President and former VP of DUCSU Nurul Haque Nur has been released from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 4:30 pm today.

DMCH Director Brigadier General Md. Asaduzzaman informed this to journalists.

"Nurul Haque Nur has been discharged as per the decision of the medical board as his physical condition has improved. Later, he returned to his home in an ambulance at around 5 pm," he said.

On August 29, leaders and activists of Gano Odhikar Parishad clashed with leaders and activists of the Jatiya Party in Bijoynagar. 

Later, law enforcement agencies used force to disperse the two sides. At least 50 people, including Gano Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Noor and party general secretary Rashed Khan, were injured. 

Noor was first taken to Islami Bank Hospital due to serious injuries. Later, on the advice of doctors, he was shifted to DMCH Hospital around 11 pm.
