DMP files 2152 cases drive against traffic rules violation

DHAKA, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS) - The traffic division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has filed a total of 2152 cases against motor vehicles and drivers for violating traffic rules in the capital during the last 24hrs.

The DMP has been conducting campaign against traffic violations in the city aimed at bringing the traffic system under proper management, according to Dhaka Metropolitan Police Media and Public Relations Division statement.

Deputy Commissioner of DMP's Media and Public Relations Division Muhammad Talebur Rahman issued the statement here today.

It said that 316 motor vehicles were dumped and 127 vehicles were wrecked during the campaign against traffic rules violation during the traffic campaign against traffic rules violators on September 15.

The DMP release further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.

The DMP traffic division has been working to bring traffic system under smooth in the capital to give city dwellers easy movement.
