Chinese envoy pays courtesy call on Jamaat Amir

DHAKA, Sept 16, 2025 (BSS) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Bangladesh Yao Wen today paid a courtesy call on Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Amir Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at the latter’s office in the city’s Bashundhara here.

During the meeting, they discussed matters relating to bilateral interests including existing ties in economic, political, commercial and diplomatic sectors between the two countries.

They also expressed the hope that the existing bilateral relations between the two countries would be strengthened further in the days to come.

Chinese Embassy's Political Wing Director Zhang Jing, Jamaat Secretary General and former MP Prof Mia Golam Parwar, Assistant Secretary General and Head of Central Publicity and Media Wing Advocate Ehsanul Mahbub Zubair and Jamaat Amir's Foreign Affairs Adviser Prof Dr Mahmudul Hasan were present, among others.
