NCP launches anti-corruption long march in Panchagarh

PANCHGARH, Oct 11, 2025 (BSS) - The National Citizen Party (NCP) today launched a long march against extortion, encroachment, syndicates, and corruption in Panchagarh.

NCP's northern region chief organizer Sarjis Alam inaugurated the march with around 1,000 motorcycles from the Sugar Mill area of Panchagarh municipality at noon.

At the start of the march, Sarjis Alam joined in, raising slogans against extortion, encroachment, syndicates, and corruption. 

According to party sources, the march will pass through Kamat Kajaldighi, Chaklahat, Haribhasa, Hafizabad, Amarkhana, Satmera of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila, and Debnagar, Bhajanpur, Buraburi, Shalbahan, Tentulia, and Tirnoihat unions of Tentulia Upazila, before concluding at Banglabandha Union.

Along the route, two road meetings are scheduled: the first at Tentulia intersection and the second at Sipaipara Bazar of Banglabandha Union.

Leaders and activists from five upazilas of the district are taking part in the approximately 165-kilometer march, carrying banners and placards with anti-corruption messages.

The march will conclude with a speech by Sarjis Alam at the July Memorial at Chowrangi intersection in Panchagarh town.
